Cobalt for Mac

Release notes

New features, improvements and fixes for Cobalt.

  1. Cobalt 1.0

    Latest release
    Build 65macOS 14.2+

    What’s new

Cobalt has a new home at xeneos.com.

    • Purchase Cobalt and recover your licence through the new Xeneos website.
    • Get Cobalt downloads, updates and release notes from cobalt.xeneos.com.

  2. Cobalt 1.0

    Build 64macOS 14.2+

    What’s new

Find the right meeting at a glance, with dates that stay accurate.

    • See when a meeting was recorded in your notepad, note details and search results.
    • Keep the original recording date and time when you export your notes.

  3. Cobalt 1.0

    Build 63macOS 14.2+

    What’s new

Return to your meeting in the browser you prefer.

    • Bring an existing meeting tab to the front in Arc and other installed Chromium browsers with compatible Automation support.
    • See available browsers automatically during setup and in Settings → Calendar, with a separate choice for each one.
    • Keep control of your privacy: browser access is optional, supported Chromium incognito windows are excluded, and returning to a tab never starts recording.

  4. Cobalt 1.0

    Build 62macOS 14.2+

    What’s new

Get back to your meeting without opening another tab.

    • Return to an open Google Meet, Zoom or Teams tab in Safari or Chrome straight from your calendar reminder.
    • Keep Record meeting close at hand when you are ready to capture the conversation. Returning to a tab does not start recording.
    • Choose browser access during setup or later in Settings → Calendar. It is optional, and tab URLs stay on your Mac without being saved.

  5. Cobalt 1.0

    Build 61macOS 14.2+

    What’s new

Start capturing your meeting whether you’re about to join or already on the call.

    • Join a linked meeting straight from its reminder and start recording in Cobalt.
    • Already in the meeting? Choose Record meeting to start recording and transcription without reopening the call.

  6. Cobalt 1.0

    Build 60macOS 14.2+

    What’s new

Move through Cobalt with more responsive trackpad navigation.

    • Swipe back and forward between sections and meeting details without the extra pause after lifting your fingers.
    • Scroll through your notes as usual, and stay on the current page when you cancel a swipe.

  7. Cobalt 1.0

    Build 59macOS 14.2+

    What’s new

Move through Cobalt with a swipe, without reaching for the navigation buttons.

    • Swipe back and forward on your trackpad to revisit sections and meeting details.
    • Keep scrolling through your notes as usual, with navigation reserved for deliberate sideways swipes.

  8. Cobalt 1.0

    Build 58macOS 14.2+

    What’s new

Get useful notes from longer conversations, with decisions and next steps kept together.

    • Generate notes from longer meetings that previously stopped with a size-limit message.
    • Keep key points, decisions and next steps from throughout the conversation, including those discussed near the end.

  9. Cobalt 1.0

    Build 57macOS 14.2+

    What’s new

Get into your meeting and manage your saved work with fewer clicks.

    • Join a Google Meet, Zoom or Teams call directly from its reminder and start recording and transcribing in Cobalt.
    • Right-click notes, quick thoughts, to-dos and dictation history for useful actions, including deleting an item without opening it first.

  10. Cobalt 1.0

    Build 56macOS 14.2+

    What’s new

Keep capturing ideas while Cobalt takes care of your meeting.

    • Dictation goes first while saved meetings are being transcribed, so you can keep working.
    • Generate meeting notes more reliably with Cobalt’s on-device model.
    • Keep recorded audio available for recovery if saving a meeting is interrupted.
